School Wide Expectations

The focus for DSA this year is the 7 Highly Effective Habits. Students and staff are challenged to learn the 7 habits and practice them daily as they approach learning and living. A summary of the 7 habits is below. Every month, we will highlight select students who have demonstrated one of the habits in their classroom or around campus. Watch for the spotlight to land on you!

  • 7 Highly Effective Habits

  • 1. Be Proactive

I have a "can do" attitude that demonstrates a positive attitude and mood. I will always do the right thing!

    2. Begin with the End in Mind

I will plan ahead and set my own goals for success. I will be a good citizen to everyone showing respect to myself and others as well as demonstrate courteous behavior.

    3. Put First Things First

I will set priorities, stay organized and always listen and follow directions.

    4. Think Win-Win

I will be polite and respectful to everyone so that we can all be a success!

    5. Seek First to Understand

I will listen to others first and try to consider things from their viewpoints always before voicing my opinions.

    6. Synergize

I value other people's strengths and will learn from them. I will work with others, and in groups to solve problems while being a collaborative team. I will always be prepared to learn!

    7. Sharpen the Saw

I will take care of my own body by making the healthy nutrition choices, exercising, and getting a good night's sleep.
